Radiocast: Create a Pill Card

Debra: This is Healthcare 411: Information for better health. Ever felt like you needed a cheat sheet for your medicines? AHRQ has pill card that helps you chart which medicines you take, how much to take, and when you need to take them. Creator Dr. Sunil Kripalani:

Dr. Kripalani: Well, the pill card is designed for people who have a hard time keeping track of their medications or the medicines they may give a family member. All you need is a computer with word processing software and information about your medications. You can hang it on the refrigerator to keep track of your medicines, keep it where you store your medications, and take it with you to your doctor’s office. All of these things can help you easily remember your medications on a daily basis.

Debra: To access the pill card template, go to ahrq.gov/qual/pillcard/pillcard.htm. Healthcare 411 is produced by AHRQ, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. I’m Debra James for Healthcare 411.
